Artifact 4: Previous Internship Work

The artifact I selected is a presentation titled “A Day in the Life of Wellness at AC,” which I created during my internship at Academy Camps. This presentation introduced the daily roles and responsibilities of the wellness team, including performance mindset coaching, strength and conditioning, and athletic training. As part of my internship experience, I helped develop this presentation to give campers, staff, and families a better understanding of how the wellness department supports athlete health and performance throughout the day. Through this process, I learned how to clearly communicate interdisciplinary roles within a sports medicine environment and how each professional contributes to overall athlete well-being. I also gained experience collaborating with coaches, athletic trainers, and other interns to ensure the information was accurate and easy to understand. My specific contributions included organizing the content, designing the introductory slide, and outlining the workflow of the athletic training team. Overall, this artifact reflects the growth I made during my internship and my increasing confidence in the athletic training profession.
