Artifact 2: Public Health Class
Gantt Chart - HPS 350
The artifact I selected is a Gantt Chart I created for a public health program focused on increasing access to doctors, dentists, and routine check-ups for underserved populations. I designed this chart for a course project in my Public Health curriculum, where we were tasked with planning the timeline and major phases of a community health intervention. The Gantt Chart mapped out key activities such as outreach, partnership development, resource allocation, and evaluation checkpoints. By creating it, I learned how essential structured planning is for implementing effective health programs, especially when coordinating multiple stakeholders and limited resources. This assignment also strengthened my ability to break large goals into manageable tasks and visualize how long various steps realistically take. If this artifact was part of a group project, my specific contributions included organizing the project phases, building the full timeline layout, and ensuring all tasks aligned with our overall program objectives. Overall, this experience deepened my understanding of program planning and reinforced the importance of accessibility in improving health outcomes.
